Bullying is a continuing challenge in Texas schools, and SSISD is committed to preventing it. The health and safety of our children is our highest priority. No child deserves to be the victim of bullying.
Bullying is defined in Section 37.0832 of the Education Code as a single significant act or a pattern of acts by one or more students directed at another student that exploits an imbalance of power and involves engaging in written or verbal expression, expression through electronic means, or physical conduct that:
S.B. 179, known as David’s Law, has augmented the definition of bullying in schools and included the requirement to include a procedure for students to anonymously report incidents of bullying. SSISD has partnered with 806 Technologies to meet this need. Now, any member of our community may report incidents of bullying at the link found here.
